Tank is one of the four protagonists in Def Jam Vendetta.

Biography[]

A talented rapper with a loyal Japanese fan base, Tank came to New York with dreams of scoring a recording contract with a North American record label. So far he hasn't had any luck–his strange Japanese raps don't hold much appeal to North American hip hop fans. Tank started fighting on the New York circuit to make ends meet. A brawler who excels at heavy attacks and power moves, Tank also does tons of damage when diving off the turnbuckle.

Role In Def Jam Vendetta[]

Tank shares the same role as the other protagonists in story mode. This individual was once the champion of the underground fighting circuit [1] and, at one point, met and eventually dated Angel, who performed at the clubs he fought in. This all changed when local mob boss and businessman, D-Mob, entered the circuit. D-Mob started to make changes to the circuit and assembled a loyal group of followers to safeguard his territory. Apparently, Tank did not want to fall under this conformity and had rebelled against it. This prompts D-Mob to come up with a scheme to get rid of him, he does this by seducing Angel with promises of fame and fortune and dangling a record contract for her. This angers Tank enough to challenge D-Mob to a fight resulting in Tank's defeat and being chased out of town.[2] Three years later, prior to the events of Def Jam Vendetta, Manny beckons him back into the circuit, after losing a lot of bets. At first he returns to help his friend, but later he has his eyes set on earning back everything he lost. After the defeat of D-Mob, he and Angel leaves the arena and possibly the circuit for good.
