This venue is used in various scenarios during the storyline. If fighting for the Staten Island Crew, the protagonist has a chance to meet Carmen Electra in this venue and later fight fellow crew member Flava Flav. Later on, The protagonist will fight Ghostface Killah to assume the leadership role after the death of O.G. If fighting against the Staten Island Crew, this venue is eventually taken over by the protagonist's crew.

- The Barge is one four venues where you can active an enviromental blazin' move, allowing players to throw their opponents overboard. The other are 125th Street Station, Red Hook Tire Co. and Crow's Office.
- This is the only venue that allows you to do so in front of a crowd.
- This is one of two venues where the Lil' Flip glitch can occur, the other venue is Terminal Offload.
