Masa is a circuit fighter and a playable character in Def Jam Vendetta, Def Jam Fight For NY and Def Jam Fight For NY: The Takeover.
Biography[]
As the son of a high-ranking Yakuza, Masa has always been exposed to the darker side of the life. The youngest of three brothers, Masa has always had something to prove. He took the challenge from his father to extend ties into America. New York was chosen as the base of operations, and within months the Yakuza had extended itself into several shady areas. One of these areas is underground fighting, and Masa is here to prove that the Yakuza belong in this arena.
Def Jam Vendetta[]
Masa is the last fighter in Dragon House during the storyline.
Def Jam Fight For NY[]
In Def Jam Fight For NY, Masa is a circuit fighter and is found at the Dragon House, in Chinatown. The player will need to fight him to progress through the storyline. It's also possible for the player to fight him again later on in the story at the Gauntlet .

Trivia[]
- Masa's name could be a reference to Masaru Sera, a character in Yakuza.
- Masa is the only circuit fighter in Def Jam series to have the same intro and outro quotes.
- He is the only fighter in both Vendetta & Fight For NY that the player usually fights at the Dragon House in either Story Mode.
- Masa's front blazin move is unlockable in Stapleton Athletics. There it's named "Upsy Daisy".
- His blazin' move in Fight For NY is actually Briggs' rear blazin' move "the Chiropractor" from Vendetta.
- Masa's intro quote is most likely gibberish. While he's fully Japanese as already mentioned, seemingly none of his quotes are authentically Japanese. In his outro quote, he says "Nihon-jin namen'nayona" which means "Don't mess with Japanese people", but it is spoken with a very unnatural, almost self-parodying accent.
- Masa is seen speaking English in The Takeover via pre-battle conversations in story mode.
