"The car came out of nowhere. I barely got a look at the guy."
—Jervis

Jervis is a crooked cop and a playable character in Def Jam Fight for NY and Def Jam Fight For NY: The Takeover.

Biography[]

Jervis has been on the force, working with his partner, Starks, for nearly 10 years. They cracked the underground case that brought down D-Mob and put him in custody before he was busted out. Jervis is still dead-set on breaking the underground crews apart and making his own dent on organized crime, but not before making some cash on the side. Aside from his lofty (and official) professional goals, Jervis is known as a young, hot-headed cop. He's both fought in and bet on the fights, and as a consequence has placed himself in the path of both D-Mob and Crow.

Def Jam Fight For NY[]

Jervis is seen in the opening cutscene arresting D-Mob. On the way to the police station, their car was hit by Hero's vehicle. Afterwards, he's is seen talking to Lauren about the incident. Lauren will then sketch out Hero's face described by Jervis. He can be unlocked in rewards.

Def Jam Fight for NY: The Takeover[]

"Son, we're the law."
—Jervis to the Hero from Brooklyn

Jervis is a minor antagonist in The Takeover. In the opening scene, Jervis is seen attacking Manny, but was knocked out by the Hero from Brooklyn. He managed to return to the police station, where he spoke to Lauren and Starks about it. Once again, he describes the player face, while Lauren sketches it out. Later, he fights Hero during O.G.'s meeting at Gun Hill Garage and later on, when he harasses Hero about his jewelry. Towards the end of the game, the cops, lead by Jervis and Starks, raided the The Babylon, where the player's crew were celebrating, causing them to scatter. While searching for D-Mob at the Dragon House, the player runs into Jervis, who is looking to settle the score with him, but once again is defeated.

Trivia[]

  • Jervis is one of three characters who does not speak in his intro or victory outro. The others are Suspect and Starks.
    • However, unlike Suspect, the developers added new blazin' yells to Jervis and Starks in The Takeover.
    • It's strange that Jervis and Starks do not talk in their intro and victory outro due to them having voice actors.
  • Jervis uses Scarface's rear blazin' move "Chicken Wing" from Def Jam Vendetta.
  • Jervis is one of the few circuit fighters , who aren't real life people, to appear in at least one cut scene of Def Jam Fight For NY's story mode. The others are D-Mob, Nyne, Skull, Starks, Lauren and Shaniqua.
